UK Fund Manager Rolls Out Advisor Tool

City Financial, a UK-based fund manager, has launched The Adviser Centre, a free-to-air, online research and consultancy service for advisors getting to grips with investment processes and assessing whether funds are suitable for clients.

City Financial, a UK-based fund manager, has launched "The Adviser Centre", a free-to-air, online research and consultancy service for advisors getting to grips with investment processes and assessing whether funds are suitable for clients.

The tool provides what the firm says is impartial investment research and gives recommendations on funds, market insights and asset allocation views.

These online products have become all the rage recently as advisors facing rising regulatory cost pressures look to stay on top of the investment universe.

The service has been developed by Peter Toogood, Gill Hutchison and Anthony McDonald, who joined City Financial’s Multi Asset team in late 2013. They previously led the fund consultancy team at Morningstar OBSR.

As previously reported, City Financial has announced it is working with Distribution Technology to embed The Adviser Centre’s research recommendations within DT’s Dynamic Planner. This will be the first phase of a series of initiatives with Distribution Technology.
