UK Asset Manager Launches New Tax Practice For SMEs

Clifton Asset Management, which is based in the city of Bristol in the southwest of England, has launched a new tax practice to advise small and medium-sized businesses.

Heading up the new practice - which is to be known as the Clifton Tax Practice - is Katie White, who joins from KPMG's private client team.

In her new role White will work in tandem with Ellis Organ, CAM’s finance director, the firm said in a statement.

“We recognise that efficient tax planning is central to everything a business does at a time when tax legislation is constantly evolving and becoming more complex,” said White.

“Our core market is owner-managers, who typically receive quite basic tax advice from their accountant. We will be offering them an altogether more innovative approach, on everything from corporation tax and income tax liability to tax-efficient investment trusts and enterprise zones.”
