UK's HFM Columbus Appoints Former Clydesdale Advisor, Eyes More Recruits

UK-based wealth manager HFM Columbus has recruited Paul Jones, a former senior private client adviser with Clydesdale bank. He brings client assets worth some £100 million ($150 million) to the firm, it said.

“HFM Columbus is expanding and continues to look for suitably qualified applicants who can bring significant client assets with them. We are currently hoping to recruit at least four more advisors to build on existing and anticipated future demand for our financial planning services,” Marcus Carlton, director at HFM Columbus, said in a statement.

“Expansion is being driven principally by our London office but we still have requirement for some advisors in Weybridge [Surrey],” he added.

HFM Columbus says it targets “the higher net worth end of the market”, providing services such as mortgages and investments, employee benefits, retirement and inheritance tax advice. The team of financial advisors is led by founder director, Jeremy Hoyland, and Marcus Carlton.
