UK's Alpha Adds To Private Client Capabilities

Alpha Portfolio Management has hired a family team to help bolster its private client offering.
The UK's Alpha Portfolio Management has appointed WH Ireland's Tony Mann as head of relationship management as part of its drive to expand its private client offering.
Mann takes on the newly-created role alongside his assistant Jane Mann. He will also be joined by his son, David Mann, who will serve as the firm's head of private clients.
The trio previously worked with the Alpha team whilst at UK wealth management firm Rowan Dartington. They join Rowan Dartington co-founders Andrew Morris, now Alpha's principal and head of business development, and Mark Sevier, now head of research.
Based in Bristol, the new additions will work with direct private clients to boost the firm's local presence.
“Tony is well known in the local investment community and can call on 50 years of investment experience,” said Morris.
“We have an exceptional and growing team of professionals and today’s appointments marks a further step towards us achieving our goal of being a leading regional provider of bespoke investment solutions and offers us a platform for future growth.”
Alpha Portfolio Management, which was was launched in January last year, now manages over £85 million ($130 million) in assets.
