UK, Oman DTA Enters Into Force, Isle of Man, Poland Sign Agreements

The UK and Oman have signed a protocol to the double taxation agreement that exists between the jurisdictions, while the Isle of Man and Poland have signed three tax agreements.
The original agreement between the UK and Oman, signed in London in November 2009, has now entered into force. The new protocol removes the withholding tax on dividends (previously a maximum of 10 per cent), removes the 15 per cent rate for UK-REITs, and provides a withholding rate of 8 per cent on royalties.
The Isle of Man and Poland signed a tax information exchange agreement, and two double taxation agreements with respect to enterprises operating ships or aircraft in international traffic and with respect to certain income of individuals.
The agreements bring tax relations between the jurisdictions into line with the OECD model.
