UK's Signature Launches New Portfolio Service

Signature, the specialist division of UK wealth manager Rowan Dartington, is rolling out what it calls the Signature Hybrid Portfolio Service, aimed at investors with varying risk appetites.

The service gives intermediaries five risk-budgeted modelled portfolios that invest directly in equities or through collective vehicles such as a fund. It will provide financial advisors with income, income and growth and growth variants. Additionally, the portfolios have the new “Four Dimensional” 4D investment process recently launched by Rowan Dartington and Signature.

This process involves simultaneous monitoring of security risk, portfolio risk, asset allocation and geographic positioning into a modelled framework, Signature said in a statement.

The rollout comes at a time when providers of discretionary wealth management are looking to exploit the new industry landscape being forged by the upcoming Retail Distribution Review programme of reforms to financial advice, a process that has forced some advisors to outsource investment management.

“This new service is a major step forward for Signature and places us at the forefront of the discretionary fund management sector,” said managing director Andrew Morris.
