UK's Aubrey Capital Boosts Private Client Team With Senior Hire

Edinburgh-based specialist global equities manager Aubrey Capital Management has appointed former Rathbones investment director Chris Sutton to spearhead its private client push.

Management has appointed former Rathbones investment director
Chris Sutton to spearhead its private client push.
Sutton joins the private client division, headed by Barry
McCorkell and Simon Milne, to lead the firm's private client
offering.
He was previously an investment director and deputy to the
regional director at Rathbones's Edinburgh office and was
responsible for the discretionary management of private client
investments. He was also a member of the strategic asset
allocation and collectives research committees and helped oversee
the selection of indirect commercial property investments for the
company.
Sutton joined Rathbones in 1996 and was part of the team that
helped to build the £450 million ($504 million) SIPP and private
client business.
Aubrey Capital Management was founded in Edinburgh in 2006 as a
global investment boutique by Andrew Dalrymple, Barry McCorkell,
Sharon Bentley-Hamlyn and Lynne Thornton. Aubrey is in part
backed by Treasury Group, the listed Australian specialist
investment and financial services business.
Aubrey Capital Management have seen funds under management reach
£350 million ($587.4 million) in the past year.
These are divided between the global equity funds run by Aubrey
founder Andrew Dalrymple and his team of international analysts,
Sharon Bentley-Hamlyn’s European fund, and the private client
offering headed by Barry McCorkell and Simon Milne.
