UBS Wealth Management UK Names Vice Chairman

UBS Wealth Management UK has appointed Sandeep Kamat as vice chairman, reporting to Michael Bishop, effective immediately, this publication has learned.

UBS Wealth Management UK has appointed Sandeep Kamat as vice chairman, reporting to Michael Bishop, effective immediately, WealthBriefing has learned.

Kamat switches from the Swiss firm’s investment bank. Since joining UBS in 2010, as managing director in the Special Situations Group in London, he has provided bespoke financing solutions to borrowers, including several UBS Wealth Management clients.

Before joining UBS, between 2006 and 2009 he was a senior managing director and the global chief operating officer of SUN Group, a principal investor and private equity fund manager focused on emerging markets, and with $3 billion of assets under management. Before that, he held several positions within GE Capital‘s lending and investing businesses across Europe and the US, latterly as head of leveraged finance for Europe.

Sandeep's new post is not a replacement for someone else, this publication understands.
