UBS Wealth Management has appointed Trevor Foster, latterly of the now in administration Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander, as regional board member for the Midlands region, the Swiss-headquartered banking giant said. Foster will join the firm’s Birmingham office, where he will work closely with Phillip Wood, regional head for the Midlands.

This appointment is part of the firm's growth plans.

In his new role, Foster will be responsible for further developing and growing the wealth management business in the region.

At Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander, Foster was responsible for UK banking client management and profit performance across corporate and structured finance, commodity trade finance, real estate finance and private banking. Prior to this he worked for the Bank of Scotland/HBOS.
