UBS has announced the opening of a wealth management branch in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital. Another branch is planned to open in Porto by the end of 2008. According to a statement from the Swiss bank, the branch openings in Lisbon and Porto show UBS's commitment to the Portuguese market and are the next steps in the bank's strategy of reinforcing its presence in Western Europe UBS Portugal offers a wide range of tailor made wealth management products and services to help clients achieve their goals, says the bank. Apart from bonds, stocks, derivatives and money market instruments UBS Portugal also offers its clients complex financial solutions. These include portfolio management and investment advisory, structured products and a broad variety of non traditional investments, offering clients exposure to commodities, private equity, real estate vehicles and hedge funds. Advisory services in corporate finance, wealth planning as well as credits, loans and large structured transactions round up the offer, says the Swiss bank.
