UBS Names Head For DIFC Wealth Management

UBS has appointed Dominique Leimer as head of wealth management at the Dubai International Financial Centre, replacing Rolf Schilde.
Leimer reports directly to Ali Janoudi, region head of Middle East & North Africa, and locally to Tony Iliya, group MENA chief executive.
Leimer, with more than 20 years’ experience in the financial sector, joins UBS from Black Pearl Capital. He has held several client advisor positions as well as leadership roles, mostly at Credit Suisse. Before that, he spent seven years in Dubai for Credit Suisse and Julius Baer, where he developed the banks' local wealth management platform.
In other recent developments, yesterday UBS appointed Bill O’Neill as managing director, head of chief investment office, wealth management research, UK. At the same time, Caroline Winckles was appointed as deputy to O’Neill and the bank hired Tatiana Boroditskaya to join its wealth management research team, as an emerging markets credit analyst.
