UBS Wealth Management has moved to new office premises in Edinburgh at 6-8 Wemyss Place. According to UBS, the move has been driven by an increasing demand for wealth management services in Scotland. The bank’s team in Edinburgh has more than doubled since 2001 and in the last 18 months UBS has hired five local client advisors, including Debjani Sarkar from Williams De Broe, Brian O’Connor from Bank of Scotland, Angus Jack from Cornelian Asset Managers, Simon Lints from Strathclyde Pharma and Scott Young from Adam and Co Investment Managers. “This office upgrade is yet further evidence of UBS’s long-term commitment to Scotland. As the most entrepreneurial region in the UK, Scotland is a hotbed of innovation and wealth creation,” said Colin Aitken, director and senior client advisor in the Edinburgh office.
