UBS Makes Two New Hires From Rivals In UK

UBS Wealth Management has made two senior hires in London.

UBS Wealth Management has made two senior hires at its London office.

Dean Turner has joined as a UK economist and macro strategist in the CIO UK Investment Office. He will work alongside head of the UK CIO - Bill O’Neill - to analyse the UK macro economy and longer-term trends relevant to investment markets.

Turner will also support UK-related forex and fixed income recommendations and themes put forward by the Global CIO team. He joins from HSBC Private Bank where he spent the past three years as an investment strategist providing economic analysis on the UK and major European economies, UBS said.

At the same time Dan Gorton arrives at UBS as an executive director in professional wealth management, running one of the high net worth desks.

He will manage a team of client advisors who work with clients based in London and the South East and was previously a director at Barclays Wealth. He reports to Demir Avigdor, head of UBS Wealth Management’s High Net Worth team in London.
