UBS Makes Senior Wealth Management Appointment in Russia

UBS has appointed Gregg Robins from Union Bancaire Priveé to head up its wealth management operations in Russia. In his new role, Robbins is charged with growing the Swiss giant's wealth management business in the region.

UBS has appointed Gregg Robins as head of its Wealth Management business in Russia.

Robins joins from Switzerland’s Union Bancaire Privée where he was regional head for Russia and Eastern Europe. At UBP, he built an advisory office in Moscow and strengthened the Swiss hub for the region in the booking centres Zurich, Geneva and London, UBS said in a statement today.

Throughout his career, Robins has also been with Citi and several Russian corporations and financial institutions.

In this new position, Robins will be responsible for further developing and growing UBS’s wealth management business in the region.

“We are delighted that Gregg has joined UBS. He has a distinguished career in corporate and private banking, and his appointment reinforces UBS’s strong commitment to our clients in this important market,” said Steve Meehan, UBS chief executive officer Russia.

Robins will report to Caroline Kuhnert, business sector head Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Turkey. Kuhnert is based in Zurich. Robins will also have a local reporting line into the regional chief executive in Moscow.
