UBS Makes Senior Changes In North Asia, Hong Kong

The Swiss bank has made a number of top-level changes in the region.
UBS has been making
changes to its global wealth management advisory and sales for
North Asia business.
Philippe Spielhofer, who has led the advisory and sales function
for global wealth management, has been named co-head for
financial Intermediaries, Asia-Pacific, according to a memo seen
by this publication.
In this role, Spielhofer will cover Hong Kong, with a local
reporting line to Marina Lui, head of wealth management for
China. His appointment takes effect from 1 September this
year.
At UBS since 2011, Spielhofer will remain a member of GWM North
Asia management team.
Pierre Widmer will be appointed as the head of GWM, advisory and
sales, for North Asia. Currently, he is market team head for
Southeast Asia in the Kong Kong sector; he recently marked three
decades of working at UBS.
Widmer’s successor will be named in due course.
