UBS Makes Raft Of Senior Asia-Pacific Hires

Appointments have been made affecting a number of wealth management business segments.
UBS Global Wealth Management, part of UBS, has made a range of senior
appointments across its Asia-Pacific business, this news service
an confirm.
Neil Yiu (pictured below) has been appointed as the market team
head for Southeast Asia Hong Kong within the Hong Kong domestic
and Southeast Asia Hong Kong sector, effective 1 September 2025.
In this role Yiu reports to Adeline Chien, the head of wealth
management for domestic Hong Kong and the Southeast Asia Hong
Kong segments.

Prior to this, Yiu was part of the direct investment and global
wealth management corporate finance group, moving to the Hong
Kong domestic market team head role earlier in 2025.
As announced in June, Pierre Widmer, the market team head for
Southeast Asia Hong Kong, was appointed as the head for GWM
advisory and sales North Asia, effective 1 September
2025.
Taiwan international
Simon Chang (pictured below) has joined the Taiwan International
arm of UBS as the new market team head in Hong Kong. Chang, who
reports to Damien Hsiao, the head of Taiwan International, UBS
Global Wealth Management, has more than two decades’
experience in the financial service sector.

Chang has more than two decades of experience in the financial
and wealth management sector. Most recently, he worked at JP
Morgan Private Bank Hong Kong since 2018. Prior to this, he was a
client advisor at UBS Taipei from 2015 to 2018. Chang has
held various positions as a relationship manager at Standard
Chartered, Credit Suisse, and ABN AMRO since 2003.
Sherwin Wong (pictured below) was appointed as a market team head
at the private client Hong Kong business in May this year.
He joined from JP Morgan, where he served as one of the
China team leads and worked for 16 years. Wong reports to Jamee
Wong, the head of private clients for Greater China.

Wong started his career as an investment specialist and was
appointed as team lead for JP Morgan's Hong Kong and the
Philippines business in 2018. In 2023, Wong moved to the
China market, where he played a pivotal role in expanding its
UHNW business. Wong joined the UBS investment bank in 2007.
