Li leaves the firm after having been at UBS Wealth Management
since 2002; before that, she had worked at HSBC in Hong Kong.
As at the start of this year, Vicki Lee, managing director, was
appointed as country team head of Hong Kong Team 6. She joined
UBS in 2006 as a desk head in Hong Kong Team 5. She has 20
years' experience of banking in Hong Kong and previously worked
for HSBC and Standard Chartered.
As part of the changes, Francis Hung, desk head of Hong Kong Team
5, and his team, have moved to the newly-created HK Team 6 and
report to Vicki Lee.
Both Chien and Lee report to Jean-Claude Humair, regional market
manager for Hong Kong at the Zurich-listed banking group.
Among other appointments, Yu-Kyung Whang, executive director,
transferred from Ernst Schuler's team to head a new desk in HK
Team 6, reporting to Vicky Lee. This individual joined UBS Hong
Kong in 2003 as a Senior CA from Citibank, and became desk head
in 2006.
Henry Lau, executive director, will join as desk head to head a
new desk in HK Team 1 on 4 February. He has worked in the
commercial banking industry in Hong Kong for over 25 years with
Shanghai Commercial Bank and brings a network with both retail
and corporate clients. Lau will report to Adeline Chien.
It is understood that UBS has a strong pipeline of CAs and
associates scheduled to join the firm later in 2014.
