UBS Hires From Rival In UK's North West

This publication reports on more movement among wealth managers in the UK's North West region.

UBS Wealth Management in the Manchester area of the UK North West has appointed a former private banker at Barclays, this publication can confirm.

Mark Mace was previously at Barclays' private bank, and has more than 20 years’ experience advising people and institutions, specialising in investment management and lending, [tatg|UBS">UBS said.

He is also a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and holds the Private Client Investment Advice and Management Diploma.

“The North West is a core business region for UBS Wealth Management. Mark’s appointment is in response to increased client demand, at a time when the office is going from strength to strength. He joins two new client advisors, hired in the past year to service our growing client base. Mark will be responsible for growing the business in the Lancashire and Cumbria regions. The strength of our Manchester office reflects economic growth in the region, as investors and businesses start to feel increasingly confident about the UK economy,” Karan Sejpal, regional head of the Manchester office, said.

Sejpal is also a former Barclays employee, having taken up his post at the start of this year. At Barclays, he looked after high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.
