UBS debuts dual-card program for high-end clients

Users can consolidate points for rewards "that matter" to private clients. The quickest way into the cockpit of a combat jet, it now appears, is to sign up for UBS' Wealth Management services. As part of a new rewards scheme, UBS' UBS Resource Card program, which brings together both a UBS American Express credit card and a VISA Signature card, is available only to UBS' U.S.-based private clients and offers rewards based on points consolidated from both cards.
Peter Stanton, executive director of the Banking Strategy Group at UBS Wealth Management, said that the program "pushes the limits of our clients' imagination and creates the type of memorable and unique choice of rewards they truly desire."
Aside from the combat jet experience, these rewards included training sessions with Olympic athletes, FAO Schwarz sleepovers, an insider's tour of NASA, caddying for a PGA champion, or hosting a "state" dinner with a former White House executive chef.
These rewards are part of UBS' effort to ensure that the Resource Card does not remain "just another card," according to a press release. The combined American Express and VISA cards, issued by Barclays, are meant to help clients "manage their spending more simply and efficiently, and have a faster way to earn rewards that matter to them," says Stanton. -FWR
