Two Senior Hires at SVB Capital

SVB Capital, the private equity arm of US-based SVB Financial Group, has made two senior appointments in its fund management team. John Dominguez joins SVB as a partner on the funds management team to help broaden the firm's investment capabilities in later-stage private equity, growth capital and buyouts. Vincent Williams also joins SVB as a partner responsible for product development and fund raising in the mid-to-large size institutional markets. He will focus primarily on corporate and public pension plans. The aggregate of SVB Capital is over $1 bilion and includes fund of funds, direct funds, venture debt funds and specialty debt funds invested primarily on behalf of endowments and foundations. Mr Dominguez joins SVB Capital from Hall Capital Management where he was manager of the private equity group, covering venture capital, private equity and leveraged buyout investments. Previously, he was a founding principal and managing director of Private Trade and the director of Alternative Investments for the Public Employees' Retirement Association of Colorado. Mr Williams became an investment manager focused on large public funds in 1995 after serving as a business lawyer for a decade. Most recently, he was senior vice president and managing director of institutional sales for Northern Trust Global Investments in Chicago where he was responsible for developing and implementing the company's business strategy within the public and corporate marketplace for North America. Prior to Northern, he was a director of public funds for Victory Capital Management, and a senior vice president at Mesirow Financial, where he began fundraising for private equity and venture capital.
