Tompkins Financial Advisors, the wealth management arm of New York-based Tompkins Financial Corporation, has appointed Laurie Haelen as managing director for the Western New York division.

Haelen has over 20 years of wealth and portfolio management experience and most recently served as senior vice president and director of investment services at the firm. In her new role she is based in the Pittsford regional office and oversees a team of wealth advisors, financial planners and trust officers.

Tompkins has some $2.2 billion in assets under management and, besides its regional ofices in White Plains, Rochester and Ithaca, also provides wealth advisory services through affiliates Mahopac National Bank, Tompkins Trust Company, Bank of Castile and Tompkins Insurance Agencies.
