Barclays announced yesterday that Ray Greenshields, 58, managing director of the bank’s wealth solutions, has retired after three years in the position. The head of Barclays Wealth Management, Thomas Kalaris, will take direct responsibility for Mr Greenshields' position, according to a statement from the bank. Mr Greenshields was responsible for Barclays Financial Planning, Gerrard, Barclays Stockbrokers, Barclays Life and Barclays Investment Services. Mr Kalaris, with the backing of Bob Diamond, president of Barclays, has been given the job to strengthen Barclays Wealth Management business and is currently hiring senior managers to help him in his efforts.
