UK-based Henderson New Star has made a trio of appointments following its acquisition of New Star Asset Management in April this year.

Simon Hillenbrand, Greg Jones and James Bowers have been all been given roles relating to the company’s distribution capabilities in the UK and continental retail markets, Henderson said.

Mr Hillenbrand has been made director of UK retail sales reporting to Mark Skinner, head of the pan-European retail business. He comes from New Star where he was managing director of UK retail sales.

Mr Jones, who was managing director of New Star’s international business, becomes director of continental European retail sales. He will also report to Mr Skinner.

Mr Bowers will join as head of UK and institutional product, reporting to Stewart Cazier, director of retail business development.

“This is an important time for Henderson and its clients following the acquisition of New Star some six months ago… I am confident that their considerable experience and expertise will aid us in our commitment to improve our service to clients in both the UK and Continental European retail markets,” said Mr Skinner.
