Threadneedle Appoints Fund Manager To Its Pan European Fund

Threadneedle, the UK-based asset management firm, has appointed Ann Steele as manager of its £102 million (approx $159 million) pan European fund, WealthBriefing can confirm.

Steele, who joined the firm in 2009 as a senior fund manager in the European equity team, will take over the Threadneedle Pan European Fund that was managed by Rob Jones, a firm’s spokesperson told this publication.

Steele’s responsibilities include developing Threadneedle’s European equity institutional offering as well as spearheading the company’s asset gathering efforts in this area.

Jones, who left the firm earlier this month to join Union Bancaire Privée, managed three funds: the Threadneedle European Equity Fund as well as the Threadneedle Pan European Equity Dividend Fund and the firm’s pan European fund.

Dan Ison, head of the pan European equities team at Threadneedle, took over from Jones on the company’s European equity fund and pan European equity dividend fund.

Jones is expected to join UBP in November this year.
