Thomson puts relationship management on desktops

Deal with OKERE enables Thomson ONE Advisor customer management capability. Thomson Financial has entered into a strategic partnership with OKERE that makes OKERE’s customer relationship management (CRM) software “an integrated component” of the Thomson ONE Advisor desktop for private wealth managers.

"[We have] long believed the true value of CRM in financial services is only realized when CRM is integrated into the financial desktop," says John Orrock, CEO of New York-based OKERE. "Our relationship with Thomson Financial has resulted in a ‘verticalized,’ purpose-built CRM offering that integrates client management workflow into the Thomson ONE desktop for Wealth Management."

In practice that means the “Advisor” version of Thomson ONE now has a CRM module integrated with its emailing system – something that will make it “easier than ever for Thomson clients to manage and grow their customer relationships,” says William O’Conor, head of Thomson Financial’s retail wealth management products.

The agreement between Thomson Financial and OKERE is the first of its kind for the wealth industry, according to the companies.

Thomson ONE Advisor, which is sold on a subscription basis, links financial planning, portfolio management and research tools with back-office systems to support client analysis, administration and communication.

Thomson Financial is a unit of Stamford, Conn.-based Thomson Corp.

OKERE's client roster includes Citigroup Asset Management, Credit Suisse First Boston, JPMorgan Chase, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. –FWR
