Pepin Consulting, the human capital advisory firm to the investment management industry, has launched as an independent firm, having previously been a division within a larger company.

Headquartered in Wisconsin, Pepin is a talent services provider that exclusively focuses on the global wealth and investment management industry. It specializes in the RIA space, providing consulting on issues such as succession management, performance alignment, compensation plan design and implementation, ownership and equity distribution, and talent assessment.

It is led by founders Scott Feraro as managing director and Nick Lemmer as principal. Feraro used to be a principal at Seabury Group prior to founding Pepin, while Lemmer directed the marketing transformation for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.

"The transition of Pepin Consulting from a single division of a large holding company into independent status will include the formation of key strategic alliances within the wealth management industry and allow for better alignment of its core business," the newly-formed company said in a statement.
