T Rowe Price has expanded its equity offerings by introducing a US Large Cap core strategy, which is available to investors via a separate account and the firm’s Luxembourg-domiciled SICAV range.

The strategy is currently approved for distribution in Estonia, Finland, Norway, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Sweden and the UK and is awaiting approval in the other jurisdictions in which the SICAV is registered.

The strategy seeks long-term capital growth with moderate risk by investing primarily in securities of large US companies. Stock selection will reflect a blend of growth and value investment approaches.

The firm has been managing US large cap equity strategies since 1950 and at 30 June 2009 managed over $133 billion in US large cap equity assets.

Portfolio manager Jeff Rottinghaus said: “Our flexible investment program allows us to concentrate our high conviction US large cap stock names into one convenient portfolio. We continually evaluate our investment thesis, relative valuation factors, qualitative and quantitative company assessments and portfolio-level risk analysis to make the best investment selections.”
