Syndicate Asset Management, the AIM-quoted fund management group, has appointed Peter Dew as a non-executive director. For the last six years Mr Dew chaired the Board of Unicorn Asset Management in a non-executive capacity. Prior to that, he worked as an investment management consultant, advising such companies as Mercury Asset Management, Prudential Portfolio Managers, Association of Investment Trust Companies, and Private Bank & Trust Company. Mr Dew has spent 12 years at Mercury Asset Management and four years at GT Management as a company director before taking a position, in 1988, as group managing director of Thornton & Co, a Dresdner Bank subsidiary.
