Switzerland-Based Law Firm Names New Partners, Counsel

Switzerland-based business law firm Schellenberg Wittmer has added a number of partners and a counsel to its roster of lawyers.
The partners, who take on newly created roles, are Louis Burrus, Olivier Favre, Stefan Leimgruber and Grégoire Wuest. Meanwhile, Philippe Nicod has been named the new counsel.
Burrus is a partner in dispute resolution and banking and finance in Geneva. He specialises in cross-border commercial litigation, and has represented companies and individuals before Swiss and foreign authorities. Burrus previously worked in the white-collar crime and corporate investigations practice of a US dispute resolution firm.
Dr Favre is a partner in the banking and finance group in Zurich. He advises clients on financial services, securities, commodities and fund regulation.
Dr Leimgruber was appointed as the partner in dispute resolution in Zurich. He specialises in domestic and international litigation and arbitration. Dr Leimgruber advises and represents parties before state courts regarding commercial matters.
Wuest advises banks and financial institutions on regulatory and clients’ matters as a partner in banking based in Geneva. He will also advise private clients on wealth structuring and estate planning.
Nicod works in mergers and acquisitions and corporate law as the corporate and commercial counsel in Geneva. He advises clients on buying and selling companies and businesses, and is fluent in Chinese.
