The Geneva-based wealth manager has added an economist to its investment committee.

Prime Partners has appointed François Savary to the newly created role of chief investment officer.

Savary is an economist and financial analyst with more than 25 years’ experience in asset management and in Geneva's financial services industry, having worked at Reyl & Cie, Darier Hentsch & Cie, Deutsche Bank and SBS. He was also head of publications at financial newspaper L'Agefi.

Based in Geneva, Savary will step into his new position at the start of 2016 and take charge of the firm's strategic investments.

“Thanks to his competence and his professionalism, François Savary will further develop the team at Prime Partners SA. His talent will add value to any financial analysis and financial communication,” Prime Partners said in a statement.

Prime Partners was founded by six former executives of Société de Banque Suisse, which merged with Union Bank of Switzerland in 1998 to form UBS. The Switzerland-headquartered firm currently manages SFr2.5 billion ($2.4 billion) of assets worldwide.
