New Office
Switzerland's Bellecapital Opens Office In London, Eyes Further Expansion

The firm is opening an office in London as it looks to expand outside of Switzerland.
Bellecapital, the
Swiss asset management company catering to wealthy individuals
and endowments, is opening an office in London after securing a
green light from the regulatory authorities, it announced
today.
The new entity, Bellecapital UK, is located at 42 Berkeley Square
and will serve UK and international clients seeking
passporting to other European Union member states under the MiFID
II regulatory changes.
The firm was founded in Zurich in 2009 by Beat Bass, Werner Diehl
and Mark Eberle. Bass and Diehl have had long careers with HSBC
Guyerzeller Bank while Eberle served as chief executive of
Barclays Capital Switzerland for almost ten years.
“The idea behind the launch of Bellecapital was to create a
financial boutique that is entrepreneurial and free of any
conflict of interest under the three pillars of investment
performance, client service and transparency,” Eberle said in a
statement.
Bellecapital has also appointed David Haythe, the former head of
private wealth management in Europe at Morgan Stanley in London,
to its board of directors. Haythe has more than 40 years of
industry experience, during which time he has held various
executive roles within Morgan Stanley, helping to build
the company’s EMEA wealth management team.
Haythe will support Bellecapital’s effort to establish an
international presence as it expands outside Switzerland.
Initially, Bellecapital’s focus will be on bringing
in further investment professionals for the new London
office.
