Swiss Private Bank To Place CFO At The Helm

The new chief executive joined the firm in July.

Notenstein La Roche, the Swiss private bank, has said its chief financial officer Patrick Fuerer will become its new chief executive, as the current CEO Adrian Kuenzi is stepping down after spending six years at the helm.

Fuerer will assume the lead on 23 October. He joined the bank as CFO and chief operating officer in July.

“Continuity is paramount for us. I am therefore very pleased that we were able to recruit Patrick Fuerer for this function,” chairman Patrik Gisel said in a statement. “In just a few months he has been able to gain the trust of the employees, the executive board and the board of directors.”

Fuerer had previously worked for Morgan Stanley's Swiss operation as its country head and, prior to that, chief operating officer.
