Swiss Private Bank Opens New Office in Switzerland

Valiant Privatbank, part of the Swiss firm Valiant Holding, has launched a presence in the canton of Jura, saying that this is the first private bank in the canton in the northwest of Switzerland.
Pierre Christe will look after wealth management at the new office, the firm said in a statement. Christe joined Banque Jurassienne d’Epargne et de Crédit, in 1975. The bank then merged with Regiobank Laufen in 2003 becoming Bank Jura Laufen, now known as Banque Romande Valiant.
Valiant Privatbank’s new presence will be in Banque Romande Valiant’s building in Jura’s capital, Delémont.
“Valiant Privatbank is a sensible addition to Banque Romande Valiant, which primarily focuses on retail banking,” the firm said in a statement.
Valiant Privatbank is the wealth management arm of the banking group, which reported assets under management of SFr15.6 billion ($14.7 billion) at the end of 2009.
