The team will promote private banking in the Bern and Solothurn cantons of the Alpine state.

Switzerland-based Berner Kantonalbank has added a team to its private banking unit.

The group is led by former Credit Suisse bankers Markus Mühlheim and Michael Honegger. Other former Credit Suisse colleagues are also joining: Rosa Cardinale Rohner, Urs Rentsch, Marc Rohrer and Oscar Rodriguez. 

BEKB has underlined its strategic focus in the private banking market in the cantons of Bern and Solothurn by bringing this team on board, the bank said. 

"As a team, we have experienced in recent years how crucial customer trust is. Only if we understand our customers and business partners can we work with them to develop sustainable and easily implementable solutions and thus create real added value," Mühlheim and Honegger said in a statement yesterday.
