Lausanne-headquartered Banque Cantonale Vaudoise has hired Stefan Bichsel to head the bank’s new provisionally-named asset management and trading division. This follows the reorganisation reported in WealthBriefing in November 2008.

Mr Bichsel has had a varied career to date, joining BCV from Lombard Odier after working at UBS, Pictet, Swisscanto and Robeco.

Having wide experience in institutional asset management, he will lead the targeted expansion in this area in accordance with the bank’s new strategy. He will take up his position on 1 May 2009.
