Swiss Bank Makes Trio Of Senior Appointments

Maerki Baumann & Co, the Zürich-based private banking business of Maerki Baumann Group, has appointed Urs Imholz as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Dr Rolf Aeberli, who has left the firm following differences over strategy, the bank said.

Imholz has served the group for some 40 years and, prior to the appointment, worked as head of trading and as deputy CEO of InCore Bank, the group’s transaction banking subsidiary, Maerki Baumann said in a statement.

The firm also elected Dr Stephan Zwahlen as deputy chairman for the bank’s board of directors. Dr Zwahlen will remain in his current role as head of investment solutions and services.

Furthermore, the bank has re-elected Gianmarco Lepri, a member of the board, as head of private banking in the Ticino region.

The Maerki Baumann Group is owned by the Syz-Abegg family.
