Swiss, Irish Authorities Grant Licences To Eric Sturdza Asset Management

Eric Sturdza Asset Management said it focuses on “high conviction” portfolios and is expanding its range for sophisticated investors.

The Swiss financial regulator, FINMA, has granted an asset management licence to Eric Sturdza Asset Management. The firm also received a similar licence from Ireland’s central bank.

Now that it is licenced, ESAM can take on the investment manager role for E I Sturdza Funds plc. The status came into effect on 2 April, the asset management firm said in a statement yesterday.

ESAM said it focuses on “high conviction” portfolios and is expanding its range for sophisticated investors.

The firm is led by Andreas Söderholm (chief executive), Eric Vanraes (chief investment officer), and Jérôme Papailhau (chief operating officer). It is part of the Eric Sturdza Group, with partner offices in Luxembourg and Guernsey.

In the past decade, the asset manager has expanded its AI, quantitative and fundamental investing capabilities and developed its range of investment solutions for institutional and high net worth clients; it has also developed a UCITS fund range.
