The Stockholm-headquartered company has appointed a managing director from Swedbank for a wealth management leadership role in Luxembourg.

Financial advisor and asset manager Catella has appointed Dennis Nygren as head of wealth management in Luxembourg, along with a trio of his former colleagues.

Nygren joins the Luxembourg-based team from Swedbank, where he was the managing director of asset management. He brings 15 years' experience in private banking. 

Catella has also hired Olle Lindfors, Carl Kinell and Alexander Håkansson as senior relationship managers within the Luxembourg office. All three join from similar roles at Swedbank Asset Management.

“We are delighted to have recruited Dennis and his senior team to our banking operations in Luxembourg,” said Catella's head of banking, Tord Topsholm.

“They have all worked in the industry for a long time and with their established international contacts, they will be helping our clients with matters including planning and execution of transfers of ownership and relocations abroad.” 

Catella employs around 500 professionals across 12 countries. It managed SEK131.2 billion ($15.5 billion) in assets as of the end of March.
