Sweden's Catella Launches Property Asset Management In France

Swedish financial group Catella is to set up a new property asset management business in France, from early next year.

Swedish financial group Catella is to set up a new property asset management business in France, from early next year.

The business will be led by François Brisset, head of property asset management in France, and previously managing director and co-founder of DTZ Asset Management.

Catella already offers property advisory services in the French market, but the new business will focus on investment management, asset management and property management on behalf of French and foreign investors, the firm said in a statement.

“To meet a growing demand from investors for secure and tailor-made investments, it is our intention to structure, host and manage investment vehicles on behalf of third-party investors. We will be active within commercial real estate and residential,” said François Brisset.

The group added that the property asset management platform will be independent of the property advisory services, with a separate office.

Catella, a major financial services group with banking, fund management and asset management operations, currently has €5 billion ($6.87 billion) in assets under management - about €2 billion of which are invested in property across Europe.
