SunGard Adds News Service To Wealth Platform

SunGard is to integrate the Dow Jones Adviser service into its WealthStation wealth management platform to give users access to the news and information featured on the firm’s various websites.

SunGard said in a statement that the addition of Dow’s services to WealthStation is intended to help advisors keep up to date on the latest financial planning topics and news, not only enabling them to make better informed investment decisions, but also enhancing their client service. One particular feature of Dow Jones Adviser highlighted by the firm is the generation of "talking points" so that advisors and clients can have more in-depth discussions on the impact of current market events on their portfolios.

In other recent news, at the start of this month SunGard completed the integration of its MarketMap global market data product, WealthStation and its Valdi trading system. The integration means that users can now navigate MarketMap market data content within their respective applications.
