Summary Of Global Executive Wealth Sector Moves – December 2025

A round-up of all the moves, appointments, personnel changes and adjustments in the final month of 2025.

Europe, Middle East, UK and select international jurisdictions

UBS Asset Management appointed Barry Gill and Sonja Laud as co-heads of its investments business. Laud was also appointed head of AM EMEA, reporting additionally to Beatriz Martin in her capacity as president UBS EMEA. Most recently, Laud was global chief investment officer at Legal & General Asset Management. Gill, based in New York, worked at UBS for 30 years. He has been a member of the AM MT since 2019.

W1M Wealth Management appointed Alistair Jackson and Poppy Campbell-Lamerton to join its US private wealth team, and Oliver Jones-Davies to join its charities team. Jackson previously worked at Tanager Wealth Management. Campbell-Lamerton spent seven years advising a broad range of clients at 7IM. Jones-Davies has spent 16 years working with charity and foundation clients at CCLA Investment Management.

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) said Rholo Mba, Chartered FCSI was made president of the CISI’s Jersey branch. He took over from Rhea Wright, Chartered FCSI, who served for two years.

Quintet Private Bank appointed Bank Vontobel executive Dr Thomas Heinzl as group CEO, succeeding Chris Allen. Heinzl, who was due to assume his responsibilities as group CEO in the second quarter of 2026, succeeded Chris Allen, who has led Quintet since 2022. Heinzl joined Vontobel in 2020 after working as chief operating officer of Switzerland’s UBS Asset Management and COO of UBS Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Arbuthnot Latham hired Greg Ripley-Kinchin as a senior private banker, and Jack Akister as a private banker to join the private bank’s media team.

Columbia Threadneedle Investments appointed Fanni Pfeningberger as active ETF business development manager, based in Vienna, covering Continental Europe. Previously, Pfeningberger was responsible for institutional and wealth sales across Central and Eastern Europe for BlackRock. 

UBS made Chris Gelvin interim head for group technology; this added to his chief operating officer, group technology role. Mike Dargan decided to step down as group chief operations and technology officer.

UK-based Heligan Group appointed Adam Irwin as managing partner of its strategic insights division. Irwin has more than a decade of experience in intelligence, strategic analysis, corporate investigations and digital intelligence. 

IQ-EQ appointed Hannah Tully as client relationship director, yachting and aviation. Tully returned to the firm, where she worked in the Jersey business from 2018 to 2019. Most recently, Tully was associate director with Fiduchi Group.

SimCorp appointed long-standing senior figure Hugues Chabanis in the newly-created role of head of SimCorp Alternatives. He has been at he firm for 10 years. He also became chief operating officer of Domos by SimCorp, the organisation SimCorp acquired in September while launching SimCorp Alternatives. 

M&G appointed Simon Tasker as chief transformation officer. He also became a member of the group executive committee, reporting to Andrea Rossi, chief executive of M&G. Tasker was previously a partner at Deloitte and served in senior leadership roles at Credit Suisse. He succeeded Benoît Macé, who chose to leave M&G at the end of the year after more than three years with the company. 

UK-headquartered Morgan Lewis, a global law firm, appointed two investment management partners, Victoria Ferres and Sami Ben Dechiche. They joined the firm’s Dubai office from A&O Shearman and Simmons & Simmons, respectively.

Fidelity International appointed Samantha Ricciardi as head of EMEA. Previiously, Ricciardi was CEO at Santander Asset Management.

Evelyn Partners appointed Victoria Gammon as partner in financial planning. She has more than 20 years’ experience in financial planning and joined from IM Asset Management.

Investec Bank appointed Joe Armstrong as head of capital raising for its real estate equity platform REALIS. He is based in London.

Hargreaves Lansdown appointed Angela Yotov as chief legal officer and company secretary. Previously, Yotov served in group general counsel roles at Direct Line Group, Close Brothers Group and RateSetter.

ING appointed Maarten Koning as global head of private markets. This is a newly-formed business line at the Dutch group. 

Investec Bank (Channel Islands) appointed of FJ Eigelaar as managing director of another Investec Group entity, Investec Asset Finance (Channel Islands) (IAFCI). 

Broadridge Financial Solutions appointed Rostislav (Ros) Kotov as head of strategy and business development for its Bank Broker-Dealer (BBD) business, reporting to Swatika Rajaram, president of BBD at Broadridge.

Droit, a technology firm dealing with computational law and regulation, appointed Jean-Marie Mamodesen as regional sales director, based in London.

7IM appointed Darren Fancourt as head of operations. He succeeded Anthony Higgs, who relocated to Australia, and continues to report to Liz Paradine, chief operations officer. Fancourt has worked at 7IM for 16 years.

Darren Campbell was promoted to deputy head of operations. Dan Cole was appointed IT director, with responsibility for 7IM’s core IT infrastructure, application support and client reporting. 

London-based Shiprock Capital Management, which manages in excess of $1 billion, appointed Nicolai Vickman as as chief risk officer. Vickman is a risk executive with more than 15 years’ experience.

ZEDRA promoted Matt Race-Pridding as head of Trust Essentials. Trust Essentials is ZEDRA's “flagship” professional sole corporate trustee (PCST) proposition.

Guernsey-based Belasko, an independent provider of funds, corporate services and private wealth, appointed Richard Marshall to spearhead its commercial development efforts from Luxembourg. He joined from Carne Group. 

December witnessed a number of high-profile moves and appointments, with the most significant arguably being the hire of Ida Liu, former global head of Citi Private Bank, becoming the CEO for HSBC Private Bank. 

Asia-Pacific

M&G Investments appointed Tomoaki Murata as head of wholesale distribution and partnerships for Japan – a newly-formed role. Murata is based in Tokyo and reports to Manabu Fujita, who is head of M&G Investments Japan. Murata joined from PineBridge Investments Japan.

Coller Capital set up an office in Tokyo – its sixth Asia-Pacific location. Hisashi Tanaka joined as head of Japan private wealth in the company’s private wealth secondaries solutions team, reporting to Pak-Seng Lai, head of PWSS distribution for APAC. 

RBC Wealth Management in Asia appointed several senior private bankers across Hong Kong and Singapore. In Singapore, Cherry Wang was appointed as executive director, bringing over 15 years of private banking experience; Irene Chua was appointed as director at RBC WM; Jaime Huang was also appointed as executive director at RBC WM; and Mandy Khew was appointed as associate director. In Hong Kong, Arda Yan was appointed as executive director. David Lam, who was also appointed as director, joined from Bank of China International.

Citigroup appointed Minh Ngo as Citi country officer and banking head (CCOBH) for Vietnam as well as general director of the US bank’s Ho Chi Minh City Branch.

Indosuez Wealth Management made a series of hires:
Vicki Koh joined as senior insurance specialist, Asia, in Singapore, reporting to Brian Tan, head of structuring and insurance solutions, Asia. Diana Chiew joined the External Asset Manager desk in Singapore as a relationship manager, in the team of Shiladitya Choudhuri, market head for EAM and multi-family office business.

Joe Fang joined as senior relationship manager in Singapore. He was previously from Bank of East Asia, Singapore Branch. Tanny Ho joined as senior relationship manager in the North Asia team headed by Chua See Piu, based in Singapore. In Singapore, Lucas Yang, Leona Tan, and Terrence Yip joined the investment management team, reporting to Su Qian, head of investment management, Asia. 

Terrence Yip joined as senior portfolio manager; Leona Tan joined as senior portfolio manager, from her previous role as financial services advisor with HSBC; Lucas Yang was appointed portfolio manager and joined from RHB Asset Management.

Andrew Chan joined as senior fund specialist in Hong Kong. Chan reports locally to Timothy Tsang, head of advisory solutions Hong Kong and functionally to Su Qian, investment management head, Asia.  

Knight Frank launched a new private office in Australia, to operate with the support of its partners in Australia and New Zealand respectively, McGrath Estate Agents and Bayleys. Heading the new office is Ari Petrovs, partner.

T Rowe Price promoted Cassandra Crowe as head of institutional distribution for Australia and New Zealand, as well as head of consultant relations for Asia-Pacific. Crowe is based in Sydney.

Aberdeen Investments appointed Alan Koay, senior solutions director. Echo Yang, previously investment director of quantitative analytics on Aberdeen’s Asia-Pacific fixed income desk, took on a new role as senior solutions director in the strategic insurance group.

North America

HSBC Private Bank appointed a new CEO – Ida Liu, formerly global head of Citi Private Bank. She succeeded Gabriel Castello, who served as ad interim CEO after Annabel Spring departed at the end of December 2024. Castello took on the role of vice-chair of HSBC Private Bank.

Liu has more than 25 years’ experience in wealth management, strategic advisory and business transformation. She began her career in investment banking, advising Fortune 500 companies on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets strategies, with more than half of her investment banking career spent in Asia.

CBIZ, the US professional services advisor, appointed three senior figures: Bruce Ditman, David Fisher and Marina Margarucci. Ditman is national leader, industries, Fisher is vice president, AI, and Margarucci is national leader for private client services.

Fiduciary Trust Company appointed Karen D’Antuono, JD, as vice president and trust counsel. D’Antuono is a member of Fiduciary’s trust and estates legal department. Previously, she was a partner in the trusts and estates practice at Rubin & Rudman, where she worked for 13 years. 

Aprio Wealth Management added a number of senior figures: Noah Marell, chief operating officer; Jandy Rowe, director, client services operations and integrations; Erin O’Connor-Bell, director, financial planning and client experience; Dan Wilson, director, corporate development; and Chris Guinther, senior wealth advisor.

Fiduciary Trust International appointed James Corrigan Jr as a wealth director based in its Washington, DC office. He reports to David Edmiston, regional managing director for the Greater Atlanta and Washington, DC markets. Corrigan previously worked at First National Bank of Pennsylvania. The firm appointed Andres Rodriguez as a wealth director based in its office in Coral Gables, Florida. Rodriguez was previously a private banker and executive director at Banco Santander Private Bank in Miami. He also worked for nearly 20 years at Citi Private Bank Latam in Miami, most recently as a private banker and director leading regional client acquisition efforts.

Vanguard said Kathryn Condon joined as global chief marketing officer, succeeding Vanguard veteran Colin Kelton who retired after 36 years with the firm in senior leadership roles including the last eight years as CMO. 

Matthews, which concentrates on Asia and emerging markets, appointed Tiffany Hsiao as portfolio manager of the following funds: Matthews China Small Companies Fund; Matthews China Discovery Active ETF; Matthews Asia Innovators Fund; and the Matthews Asia Innovators Active ETF. Hsiao is based in the firm’s HQ in San Francisco. (The firm, which was formerly known as Matthews Asia, dropped the “Asia” handle to reflect a wider focus in 2023.)

Cetera welcomed Guided Financial Strategies, led by advisors Rick Dickinson and firm founder Alan Hughes who oversee about $250 million in assets under administration. 

Guided Financial Strategies was affiliated with LPL for more than 20 years. Dickinson returned to the firm in 2017 after six years in corporate business development and recruiting roles with LPL.

Osaic appointed Shannon Reid as president and head of advisor growth and engagement. Reid reports to CEO Jamie Price, who previously held the position in tandem with his chief executive responsibilities. Separately, Osaic said Veater Financial Group, led by president and financial professional George Veater, joined Osaic’s empowered independence (W-2) channel. 

Schwab Advisor Services appointed Julian Lopez in the expanded role of enterprise solutions leader.

Texas Capital appointed Marcia Nelson as executive director to cover family offices within its investment banking, sales and trading arm. Nelson, who is based in Manhattan, was previously managing director at Freedom Capital Markets for three years.

Procyon, an RIA with almost $9 billion of assets, appointed Bevin Nealon as vice president and private wealth advisor, based in Shelton, Connecticut. She joined from Wells Fargo, where she served as first VP, and managed more than $100 million for clients. 

SimCorp, a fintech firm appointed a former S&P senior figure Iyan Adewuya in the newly-created role of chief product officer. The business named Peter Sanderson as CEO in August. Adewuya, who has more than two decades of experience in product strategy and innovation, is based in New York, reporting to chief product and technology officer Marc Schröter.

Lazard Asset Management appointed Alex Kozhemiakin as managing director and co-head of emerging market debt, based in New York. Prior to this, Kozhemiakin was head of emerging market debt at Macquarie Asset Management. 

Cetera welcomed financial advisor Waheed Siddiqui and his firm, Prestige Global Private Wealth, to Avantax, a community of tax-focused financial professionals within the Cetera network. Prior to this, Siddiqui was at Citigroup Global Markets, where he served as vice president, wealth management and senior wealth advisor.

UBS Global Wealth Management appointed Justin Frame, managing director and market executive for the “Pacific Desert Market”; he also is responsible for the UBS Tucson, Arizona, office. Before joining UBS in 2020, Frame spent 25 years with Morgan Stanley. 

Osaic, a wealth management group, said that Sanders Wealth Management, an independent wealth management firm based in South Carolina, had joined its network after transitioning from Cetera. 

Raymond James made a number of appointments of individuals and teams: Jamie Waldren, an advisor, joined its independent advisor channel. Previously, Waldren managed $133 million in client assets as an independent RIA prior to affiliating with RJFS. He operates as JN Private Wealth Management, based in Columbia, Maryland. Financial advisor Lisa Moe joined the independent advisor channel of Raymond James, based in Fargo, North Dakota. She operates as Moe Wealth Management. 

Cresset added a $1.4 billion team to its Houston office that used to work with Bernstein Private Wealth Management. The team members are led by Michael Ellington, Zach Gardner, and Danique van der Velden. 

Northern Trust appointed Eric Freedman as its new chief investment officer for the wealth management business, succeeding Katie Nixon, who has served in the role since 2012. Nixon is now leader of the Northeast region. Freedman reports to wealth management president Jason Tyler. Nixon continues to report to Tyler.
