Stonehage Fleming Names New Head Of Jersey Family Office

Jersey-headquartered Stonehage Fleming, an independently owned multi-family office, makes senior promotion.

Stonehage Fleming has appointed Bev Stewart (pictured) as its new head of family office, Jersey, with immediate effect.

Stewart, who has spent more than two decades within investment banking and private wealth, brings experience and expertise to support clients, the firm said in a statement.

In addition to her new role, she will continue to act as a trusted advisor to wealthy international families, helping them deal with succession, governance and complex wealth requirements. She joined the Stonehage Fleming Group in 2021 and is based in Jersey reporting to Greg Harris, head of family Office British Islands.

Stewart is succeeding Richard Stride, who will now serve as a trustee and key advisor to several of Stonehage Fleming’s high net worth international families.

Before joining the group, she served as a director in the investment banking division of the Johannesburg-headquartered banking group, Absa.

Additionally, to strengthen the family office team, Andrea Sturges has recently joined as an associate director. Sturges, who has 20 years’ experience in the fiduciary industry with a focus on the Middle East, will consolidate the team’s expertise in this growing region for the group, the firm continued

“We look forward to Bev’s continued work in her new role as head of family office Jersey, and thank Richard for his years of dedication and commitment. Both are extremely valued members of Stonehage Fleming’s Jersey office,” Ian Crosby, chairman of Stonehage Fleming Jersey, said. “It is also a pleasure to welcome Andrea to Stonehage Fleming. Her experience will be invaluable to our existing talented and dedicated team.”

Stonehage Fleming provides a range of services from long-term strategic planning and investments to day-to-day advice and administration. It advises on over £135 billion ($170 billion) of assets and has 20 offices in 14 locations around the world.
