Stone & Youngberg Names Senior Strategist To Private Client Team

Stone & Youngberg, the San Francisco-based financial services firm, has promoted Paul Touchstone to senior investment strategist and portfolio manager for the its Private Client Group, the company said in a statement.

Touchstone's background includes international portfolio management, global macro-economic analysis, fixed income, currency, and alternative investment strategies. Before joining the firm in 2009, he was vice president and portfolio manager at First Bank Wealth Management Group in San Francisco, where he oversaw accounts for high net worth individuals. He also served as director of operations for Schroeder Capital Management prior to that.

Risk management became a major issue after the 2008 financial crisis revealed that the lack of its understanding was one of the key reasons why many companies collapsed. The company is building on its Private Client offering with a particular focus on risk.

Stone and Youngberg provides financial services through its two subsidiary businesses, one that specializes in the origination and sale of fixed-income securities, and the other on investment services to individiuals, institutions, and government agencies.
