State Street Makes Another Hire For Global Services, Singapore

US investment manager State Street has further expanded its business in Southeast Asia, with a new appointment in Singapore.

Kelvin Sng starts as a client relationship manager for State Street’s Global Services business in the region, according to a statement from the firm.

Before State Street, Sng held the position of vice president, sales and business development for HSBC Securities Services, with responsibility for relationship management and sales, focusing on asset managers, insurance and private equity, and working with leading international and local fund managers. He also held operational roles at Schroder Investment Management (Singapore) and Bermuda Trust (Singapore).

Sng reports to Jacqueline Wong, head of client management for Southeast Asia.

In July, the firm appointed Adhitya Wisesa as a Singapore-based vice president for its Southeast Asian global services division, from Deutsche Bank in Asia, where she served as vice president.

State Street has been operating in Asia-Pacific for over 25 years and has built a presence with 3,100 staff across eight cities. The firm provides asset owners and managers with a range of support, from core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping to complete investment operations outsourcing solutions and servicing for complex alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate.
