State Street IM Enters European Strategic Partnership

The two institutions intend to work on a variety of solutions, both in public and private markets, for wealth management and outsourced chief investment officer clients.
US-based State Street Investment Management, part of State Street, has
agreed with Netherlands-headquartered Van Lanschot Kempen
Investment Management to form a partnership to drive innovation
across their respective investment offerings in Europe.
The partnership will see the firms explore opportunities to
develop active ETF products, combining Van Lanschot Kempen's
specialist active management capabilities and State Street IM's
ETF capabilities.
The firm will look at additional solutions for their clients,
both in private and public markets, for wealth management and
outsourced chief investment officer clients.
“Van Lanschot Kempen’s position as a leading specialist provider
of active strategies in Western Europe, coupled with State Street
IM’s status as a global firm with extensive index capabilities,
means that both organisations bring complementary expertise,”
State Street said in a statement.
State Street IM has more than $5 trillion in assets managed; as
of 30 June,
Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management had a total of
€121.8 billion ($142.8 billion) in client assets.
