State Street Global Advisors has appointed Valerie Nicholson as director of marketing and consultant liaison. Ms Nicholson will be based in the UK with a Europe-wide brief and will report to Kanesh Lakhani, head of European marketing and consultant relations. Ms Nicholson was most recently at F&C Asset Management for eight years and previously she worked at Citigroup, Pictet and Gartmore.
