Standard Life Wealth Appoints Barclays' Brodie To Steer Operations

The wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Life Investments has named Andy Brodie as Karen Stories' successor in the senior role.

The UK's Standard Life Wealth has hired Barclays' Andy Brodie as head of operations.

Brodie previously worked within Barclays' wealth and investment arm as head of UK and Western Europe and global head of credit operations.

Based in London, he replaces Karen Stories, who has been appointed as head of business management. Brodie will now manage the firm’s operations and third-party suppliers, reporting to the chief executive, Richard Charnock.

“We are delighted that Andy has joined Standard Life Wealth as head of operations. His direct wealth management capabilities combined with cross industry expertise will be an asset to the business and important in our strategic development,” said Charnock.

“We have ambitious plans to grow the business and Andy will be instrumental in delivering an operations and platform strategy to support our future growth.”

Earlier this year, the wealth manager appointed ex-employee Jeremy Hippolite to propel its international growth.
