UK financial services group Standard Life said it has appointed Ian Mobley as a senior technical consultant from rival Friends Provident, to help employees prepare technical presentations on issues including estate planning, tax and investment.

Standard Life said it has also launched a new section devoted to estate planning on its adviserzone web site.  The new hub is a specialist one stop shop for estate planning and draws together the wide variety of estate planning services, solutions and support now available from Standard Life.
