Standard Chartered Launches Private Markets Co-Investment Club

The offering is aimed at UHNW clients, initially eligible to people in Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE, and eventually, for those in Jersey and the UK.
Yesterday, Standard Chartered Global Private Bank announced that
it has launched a private markets “club” for UHNW clients to
invest directly and alongside others.
The new programme is the Private Markets Co-Investment Club.
Clients obtain access to institutional grade due diligence; they
also keep full discretion over their individual investment
decisions. They can also use execution and transaction support,
alongside reporting and progress updates at scheduled intervals,
the bank said in a statement.

As part of the CIC launch, Standard
Chartered has entered an exclusive partnership
with private investment house, Ardian.
“We are disrupting the industry with the co-investment club to
offer our clients differentiated access to high-quality direct
investment opportunities that are otherwise not readily
available,” Raymond Ang, global head of private bank and affluent
clients, Standard Chartered, said.
The CIC is available to eligible clients in Singapore, Hong Kong,
and the UAE, with plans for expansion to Jersey, UK.
Nicholas Cheng, head of private markets group, private banking,
Standard Chartered, said: "Our ultra-high net worth clients are
seeking greater control and transparency in their private market
investments. Our partnership with Ardian, via the co-investment
club, offers a capital-efficient solution for clients to tap into
industry-leading expertise for programmatic access to unique
private market opportunities.”
