St James's Place Partners With LGBT Specialist

The UK wealth manager has struck an alliance with Equality Wealth, which describes itself as the first international specialist financial advisory firm for LGBT individuals.
St James’s Place has partnered with Equality Wealth to further its reach to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.
Equality Wealth's offering covers issues such as wealth and partner protection, retirement and succession planning. The firm will refer its clients to an SJP advisor specifically trained in LGBT-related issues. They will have access to SJP's products and services, alongside the specialist advice offered by Equality Wealth.
“SJP wants to ensure that all clients are appropriately advised and working with Equality Wealth means that our partners receive the requisite training to deal with LGBT-related issues,” said an SJP spokesperson.
Equality Wealth is the UK business of Hong Kong-based LGBT Wealth, part of investment firm LGBT Capital, which was founded in 2010 by Paul Thompson and Anders Jacobsen. Thompson previously worked at Fidelity, Prudential (US) and Goldman Sachs.
SJP's funds under management stood at £62 billion at the end of March, up from £55.8 billion ($90 billion) at the end of 2015.
